What's your favourite Bond film?

Loads were on telly recently and I've downloaded loads of em. Not seen most of them.
Goldeneye is the best Brosnan one by a country mile, all the rest are shit. The Daniel Craig ones are really good though.
Personally would say Dr. No. Got everything in it.

Strange facts about Lazenby.
The Bond people wanted him to carry on but he told them to fuck off. Broccoli and Saltzman even sent him an advance cheque for Diamonds are Forever,but he sent it back.
It's possible he banged Joanna Lumley during the making of OHMSS. Rumours were rife that he also banged Diana Rigg but she denied it.
Pam Shriver the famous tennis star married him. I always thought she was a lesbian.
He was a hard drinking womanizing Australian who has managed to survive to the age of 82.

I've recently read ( well, audio books ) the vast majority of the books which were written in the fifties and sixties. The first few films were faithful to the books. The baddies were quite varied unlike so much spy fodder that became mostly about Russia or Commie spies. Mostly they were glamorous, exciting, violent and fun at a time when most people went on holiday in Britain and had pretty dull lives. They were also quintessentially old school British at a time when Britain was changing.
I recommend the short stories. They are a little bit more adult than the novels and great reads.

If you're not basing whether or not you like a film on its story, screenplay, acting, etc. then what exactly do you base it on? Level of wokeness?

Over analysing a film in terms of originality, stories, screenplay, production values, acting, cinematography, audience and critical reaction, financial success and just basing whether you like it or not on these things takes the fun out of life.

I'm pretty sure I didn't say that. I said there must be something amiss with their critical acumen.
If you can give reason why a Bond other than the first five (actually, it's first six, I had completely forgotten about the stinker that was Thunderball) is the best in terms of originality, stories, screenplay, production values, acting, cinematography, audience and critical reaction, financial success then argue away!
Of course, reasons like 'I saw it with my Dad', or 'it was my first one' are completely valid.

OHMSS is the best Bond. Lazenby isn't Connery but he does a good job. Diana Rigg is excellent and it's genuinely sad.... I like a film with a sad ending.

They are quality classy productions that were shot on location and they did not scrimp on cost wise, and because of that they stand the test of time.
Compare that to the carry on films, the other British 'institution' that, while funny and campy were largely filmed in the car park at Pinewood and done on a shoe string with B List actors. And it shows.

Controversial but I quite like On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Spectre and the last one just released are a load of utter shit. The ending of the last one was absolutely stupid.

Probably have to be a Moore one as he was the man when I was growing up and a big fan of a view to a kill and for your eyes only (also my favourite bond song).
The newer casino royale maybe the best one though, brilliant film that.
Jaws was a superb baddie, was so good that it felt like he was in loads of films and not just 2.
